And the Winner is...Phillies Baseball Carpenter Cup presented by GDF Suez Championship Game on Tuesday

SOL National/Bicentennial and Jersey Shore, the top two all-star teams from the tri-state area, compete for championship title at Citizens Bank Park.

The top two high school all-star baseball teams in the tri-state area - SOL National/Bicentennial and Jersey Shore - have advanced to compete for the championship title of the 30th annual Phillies Baseball Carpenter Cup presented by GDF Suez at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23 at Citizens Bank Park.

Participants will showcase their skills in front of major league scouts and college coaches. Following the game, the winning team will be presented with a championship trophy. The championship game is open to the public, with gates opening at 9:00 a.m. 

The 15-game tournament featuring 16 teams from the tri-state area began last Monday, June 15, at the newly-opened Phillies MLB Urban Youth Academy Fields at FDR Park. The semi-finals were held on Monday, June 21, at Citizens Bank Park. Click here for Phillies Baseball Carpenter Cup scores

The Phillies Carpenter Cup presented by GDF Suez is recognized nationally as one of the finest baseball tournaments for high school students and has been a catalyst for many players to receive scholarships and admission to some of the country's finest universities. Additionally, many Carpenter Cup participants have gone on to big league careers including Phillies broadcaster Ben Davis, Mike Trout, Mike Piazza, Mike Koplove, David Miller and Bobby Higginson.
