Phillies Fourth of July Week (July 3-9) Festivities!

Phillies Honor Independence Day with Salute to Veterans Celebration presented by Toyota & School Supply Collection for Military Children; Plus, XFINITY Fireworks Shows, Game of Thrones Night, Retro Weekend & Yoga Day!

Celebrate America's birthday by enjoying the national pastime at Citizens Bank Park from July 3-9. The Phillies start a fun-filled homestand with a four-game series versus the Pittsburgh Pirates (July 3-6) followed by a three-game series against the San Diego Padres (July 7-9). Below are the must-know events happening at the ballpark.

  1. Salute to Veterans Celebration presented by Toyota on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, July 4, to celebrate Independence Day, the Phillies will host a Salute to Veterans Celebration presented by Toyota. Fans are invited to be in their seats by 3:30 p.m. for a very special Phillies salute to the nation's military, which includes:

  1. Salute to Veterans Celebration presented by Toyota on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, July 4, to celebrate Independence Day, the Phillies will host a Salute to Veterans Celebration presented by Toyota. Fans are invited to be in their seats by 3:30 p.m. for a very special Phillies salute to the nation's military, which includes:

  • National Anthem and "God Bless America" performed by the 78th Army Band.
  • All Service Color Guard will present the colors.
  • Veterans will lead fans in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.
  • Among those to be recognized are representatives from every conflict since World War II, escorted by an ROTC Honor Guard, made up of members of the Cherokee High School ROTC.
  • All Phillies day-of-game employees who served in the United States military will have the distinct honor of carrying the 50 state flags onto the field.
  • Former Pennsylvania congressman and veteran Patrick Murphy will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
  • The entire Phillies roster, including players, coaches and umpires, will wear a specially-designed "Stars & Stripes" uniform in support of the Salute to Veterans. The caps and socks will be available in a limited quantity for fans to purchase at the Majestic Clubhouse Store.
  • Plus, fans can donate to the Liberty USO School Supply Collection for "Rucksacks to Back Packs" at all gates from 2:30 p.m. until the 4th inning. Fans who donate will receive a BOGO ticket offer for select dates. Recommended items include pencils, erasers, markers, crayons, glue sticks, highlighters, black and blue pens, rulers, zipper pencil cases with binder holes, three-ring binders with paper, folders, notebooks and backpacks. The back-to-school supplies collected will be delivered to the children of deployed service members for the upcoming school year.
  1. XFINITY fireworks spectacular on Thursday & Friday!

Following the games on Thursday, July 6, and Friday, July 7, fans will be able to enjoy a world-class fireworks show choreographed to music, compliments of XFINITY.

  • Prior to Friday's fireworks show, the Class of '84 will perform as part of Phillies Retro Night. The fireworks show will also be choreographed to the hits of the 80s!

  1. Throw it back to the 80s with Phillies retro weekend.

Fans are invited to dress in their 80s best and join the Phillies for a fun-filled retro weekend!

On Friday, July 7, the Phillies will kick off the weekend with 1980s Retro Night.

  • Class of '84 - a 1980s tribute band - will perform behind Section 147 at 6:00 p.m.
  • At 6:30 p.m., stop by the Phillies Retro Party in Ashburn Alley and have some fun with characters from the era.
  • On the field, the Phillies and Padres will wear their retro 1983 uniforms.
  • PhanaVision will feature vintage music and retro-themed player headshots.
  • Making the ceremonial first pitch will be former Phillie Bob Dernier.
  • Plus, that night's XFINITY fireworks show will be set to 80s music.

On Saturday, July 8, all fans will receive a Toyota Mike Schmidt bobble figurine in recognition of the 30th anniversary of his 500th home run.

On Sunday, July 9, the Phillies wrap up retro weekend with a Herr's Kids Retro Pullover Jacket for all kids 14 and under. Plus, Gary "The Sarge" Matthews will throw out a ceremonial first pitch and the Phillies and Padres will once again wear the 1983 retro uniforms on-field.

  1. Theme Night fun for fans all week!

The Phillies will also host a variety of theme nights throughout the week, exclusively available to fans that purchase a Theme Night Ticket through phillies.com/themenights.

  1. Cheers to the weekend with Bud & Burger Night and an XFINITY Live! Phillies Gameday Party on Saturday.

On Saturday, July 8, beginning at 2:05 pm and continuing through the 6th inning of the 4:05 p.m. Phillies game versus the Padres, fans 21 and over are invited to stop by the Budweiser Rooftop at Citizens Bank Park for Bud & Burger Night featuring Budweiser giveaways, entertainment and specials on Budweiser aluminum bottles and draughts. Marc Farzetta from SportsRadio 94WIP will be doing a meet and greet with fans on the Budweiser Rooftop from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Also, fans can head across the street to XFINITY Live! before and after Saturday's game for the Official Phillies Gameday Party. Phillies fun includes guest appearances by Phillies Alumni Tommy Greene, 3:00 - 4:00 p.m., and Greg Luzinski, for one hour immediately following the game. Post-game specials include $3 select drafts and 50% off appetizers for one hour following the game. After EVERY game, the fun continues with XFINITY Live! Post-Game Specials, available one hour immediately following the game.

Gate Openings: Ashburn Alley opens two hours prior to game time; all gates open one and a half hours prior to game time.
