NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. -- The Phillies thought they might lose a couple players in Thursday's Rule 5 Draft.
They lost only one, as the Indians selected left-handed sidearmer Hoby Milner with the 15th pick in the Draft. Milner, 25, posted a 2.49 ERA in 49 appearances with Double-A Reading and Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Outfielder Andrew Pullin had been a candidate to be selected, but he was not. Pullin, 23, hit a combined .322 with 21 doubles, two triples, 14 home runs, 51 RBIs and an .885 OPS in 359 plate appearances with Class A Advanced Clearwater and Reading.
Other notable Phillies prospects not selected were right-handers Seranthony Dominguez and Miguel Nunez, shortstop Malquin Canelo and outfielders Carlos Tocci and Jose Pujols.
Philadelphia never planned to select anybody in the Major League phase of the Rule 5 Draft because its 40-man roster was already full. But the club did take shortstop Jorge Flores from the Blue Jays' organization in the Minor League phase. Flores has a career .673 OPS in five Minor League seasons, but he can also play second and third base.
The Phillies lost right-hander Jairo Munoz to the Rays in the Minor League phase of the Draft. Munoz, 25, has a 3.26 ERA in 62 appearances in the Minors. He had a 1.13 ERA in six appearances last season with Clearwater.
