Player - SS Malquin Canelo, Reading … The 23-year-old slashed .406/.441/.750 (13-32) with four doubles, two triples, one home run, five RBI and six runs scored in eight games. He hit safely in seven of those eight contests. Canelo was signed by the Phillies as an amateur free agent on April 29, 2012.
Pitcher - RHP Ramon Rosso, Lakewood … Rosso, 21, logged the second double-digit strikeout performance of his career on April 11 at West Virginia, striking out 12 over 5.0 innings, surrendering just one walk and one run. The Dominican Republic native posted a 1.86 ERA (2 ER, 9.2 IP) with 16 strikeouts and a 1.14 WHIP in two starts. Rosso was signed by the Phillies as a minor league free agent on February 14, 2017.
