Blue Jays could rake against Hill, Red Sox

Welcome to DraftKings fantasy baseball, the Official Daily Fantasy Game of Major League Baseball.

The players listed below could provide difference-making stats for DraftKings participants on Sunday.

Jayson Werth (Nationals): The outfielder has long fared best vs. left-handers, against whom he has produced a .927 OPS in his career (.795 vs. righties). Werth will be set to reach base and score runs at the expense of Marlins rookie southpaw Justin Nicolino (4.86 FIP, 3.0 K/9).

:: Fred Zinkie's Daily Picks ::

Josh Donaldson (Blue Jays): Hitting .301 with 38 homers, 119 RBIs and 110 runs scored across 650 plate appearances, the third baseman has been one of the best hitters in baseball this season. Donaldson will be poised to improve on his impressive lifetime .986 OPS against left-handers (.795 vs. righties) when he bats at his hitter-friendly home park against Red Sox southpaw Rich Hill (career 4.65 ERA, 1.38 WHIP).

Jose Bautista (Blue Jays): Since the outset of the 2010 season, the outfielder has posted a .271/.384/.544 slash line against left-handers and a .276/.396/.553 slash line at his hitter-friendly home park. From the three-hole in the highest-scoring lineup in baseball, Bautista could drive in multiple runs when he faces Hill, who is making just his second start since 2009.

Kevin Pillar (Blue Jays): With 10 homers and 19 steals across 574 plate appearances, the outfielder has been a cost-effective option in several 2015 DraftKings contests. Pillar could improve on his lifetime .689 OPS against left-handers (.648 vs. righties) when he hits at home against Hill. He could also excel late in the game against a Red Sox relief corps that ranks 26th in the Majors with a 4.33 ERA.

Russell Martin (Blue Jays): The catcher will be in position to provide production at a premium position when he put his lifetime .811 OPS against left-handers (.739 vs. righties) to the test against Hill and a suspect Red Sox relief corps. Martin could be part of a productive lineup, as the Blue Jays lead the Majors with an .822 OPS against southpaws.

Joey Votto (Reds): Votto has used a patient, powerful approach to build a lifetime .318/.435/.550 slash line against right-handers. The first baseman -- who has posted a .558 on-base percentage since the All-Star break -- could reach base often when he bats at hitter-friendly Miller Park against rookie righty Ariel Pena, who has registered a 1.31 WHIP across his initial 13 innings.

Jay Bruce (Reds): With 136 homers since the outset of the 2011 season, the outfielder will bring a powerful bat into a matchup with the inexperienced Pena at Milwaukee's homer-happy venue. In his career, Bruce has posted an .809 OPS against right-handers in comparison to a .722 mark vs. lefties.

Adam Lind (Brewers): The first baseman -- who is hitting .301 with 19 homers and 71 RBIs across 362 at-bats against right-handers this season -- has produced a career .866 OPS against righties that exceeds his .588 mark vs. southpaws. Lind could drive in multiple runs when he bats at his hitter-friendly home park against Reds righty Anthony DeSclafani (career 1.32 WHIP).

Scooter Gennett (Brewers): Gennett has produced some of the most lopsided splits in baseball, with an .805 OPS against right-handers that exceeds his .292 mark vs. lefties. The second baseman will be in position to reach base often when he bats at his offense-inducing home park against DeSclafani (1.31 WHIP in 2015).

Evan Gattis (Astros): With balanced career splits, the slugger will be poised to display his power when he hits at home against right-hander Aaron Brooks (lifetime 10.02 ERA, 1.89 WHIP) and an A's bullpen that ranks 27th in the Majors with a 4.45 ERA.

David Peralta (D-backs): The outfielder has produced pronounced career splits, with an .881 OPS against right-handers in comparison to a .608 mark vs. lefties. Peralta -- who is hitting .347 since August 1 -- could have a great game when he faces Giants righty Tim Hudson (4.42 ERA, 1.36 WHIP in 2015).

Matt Duffy (Giants): Hitting .301, the third baseman has been one of this season's breakout performers. Duffy will be set to improve on his lifetime .773 OPS against right-handers (.710 vs. lefties) when he faces D-backs righty Jeremy Hellickson (4.92 ERA since the outset of 2013).

Wil Myers (Padres): The outfielder could thrive when he vacates his pitcher-friendly home park and faces right-hander Kyle Kendrick (6.15 ERA, 1.52 WHIP in 2015) at homer-happy Coors Field. Myers may also excel late in the game against a Rockies relief corps that ranks 29th in the Majors with a 4.73 ERA. Also of note: Myers and his teammates will attempt to put balls into play against a Colorado squad that sits 28th in baseball with a .673 defensive efficiency ratio.

Julio Teheran (Braves): With a season-to-date 4.34 ERA, the right-hander could be a cost-effective starter in DraftKings contests when he works at his pitcher-friendly home park against a Phillies lineup that sits 28th in the Majors with a .680 OPS against righties. Teheran has posted a 3.54 ERA across his past nine starts, and he has logged a 3.23 ERA at home this season.

Aaron Nola (Phillies): DraftKings participants who do not select Teheran may instead opt for his mound opponent. The rookie righty could excel in a matchup at pitcher-friendly Turner Field with a Braves lineup that ranks 29th in the Majors with a .678 OPS against right-handers and last in baseball by a wide margin with 88 homers.

Stephen Strasburg (Nationals): With a 2.07 ERA across his past 10 starts, the right-hander has returned to being a fantasy ace after a slow start to the season. Strasburg could spin a gem when he works at home against a Marlins lineup that ranks last in the Majors with a .673 OPS against righties.

Jon Lester (Cubs): With a 2.76 ERA across his past 14 starts, the left-hander has been one of the most dominant starters in the Senior Circuit in recent weeks. Lester could continue to compile quality frames when he works at home against a Cardinals lineup that ranks 27th in baseball with a .660 OPS against southpaws.

All statistics are accurate through the completion of Friday's games.
