Hitter to watch: Dylan Cozens (Phillies' No. 22), Reading vs. Altoona (6:35 p.m. ET on MiLB.TV)
Cozens showed signs of breaking out in 2015 when he hit .286/.336/.426 with 38 extra-base hits and 20 stolen bases in 111 games across three levels, and then built on that success during the offseason with an impressive campaign in the Australian Baseball League. This year, Cozens, who celebrated his 21st birthday on May 31, is proving to be one of the better offensive prospects in the Phillies' farm system and, more importantly, a legitimate big league prospect. The 6-foot-6, 235-pounder has already gone deep a career-high 17 times in 60 games this season -- surpassing the 16 he hit in 132 games back in 2014 -- and he's done so while batting .286/.360/.585.
Pitcher to watch: Jose Berrios (Twins' No. 1), Rochester vs. Toledo (7:05 p.m. ET on MiLB.TV)
Berrios is coming off of his best outing of the season Monday, when he struck out a season-high 11 hitters over eight innings in Triple-A Rochester's win over Buffalo. The No. 15 overall prospect allowed three hits in the outing, two of which were solo home runs by veteran Casey Kotchman. The performance was a step in the right direction for the 22-year-old right-hander, especially after he was shellacked for seven runs on 10 hits in his previous turn for the Red Wings. On the season, Berrios has posted a 3.07 ERA with 46 strikeouts against 18 walks in 41 innings (seven starts).
Duel of the day: Jaime Schultz (Rays' No. 18) vs. Ben Lively (Phillies' No. 30), Durham at Lehigh Valley (6:35 p.m. ET on MiLB.TV)
In his Monday start for Triple-A Durham, Schultz carried a perfect-game bid into the seventh inning before allowing a two-out double. That was the only hitter to reach base against the 24-year-old righty, who struck out 10 hitters and did not issue a walk in a start for the first time this season. Meanwhile, on the very same night, Lively recorded six strikeouts over six scoreless innings in what was his best start since being promoted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The right-hander has yet to suffer a loss this season, as he enters the day a perfect 9-0 with a 2.00 ERA and a 0.92 WHIP in 72 innings (12 starts) between the Double- and Triple-A levels.
