Pipeline preview: Mets' Syndergaard draws Reno

With right-handers Archie Bradley and Taijuan Walker on the disabled list, No. 1 Mets prospect Noah Syndergaard is the highest ranked healthy pitcher on MLB.com's Top 100 Prospects list.

Syndergaard has pitched well this season, but he hasn't dominated hitters in his first taste of Triple-A. In five starts, he has a 5.04 ERA and has a 21-to-10 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 25 innings.

The powerful right-hander will look to improve Wednesday, when he is scheduled to take the ball for Triple-A Las Vegas against Reno. The game, which can be seen on MiLB.TV, begins at 10:05 p.m. ET.

Other pitchers ranked in the Top 100 who are scheduled to start Wednesday include Tyler Glasnow, Julio Urias, Braden Shipley and Matt Wisler. Fans can watch Wisler on MiLB.TV at 8:05 p.m.

Elsewhere, outfielder Andrew Toles, the Rays' No. 3 prospect, will try to stay hot as Charlotte concludes its series at St. Lucie. Toles was the Rays' 2013 Minor League Player of the Year, but scuffled to start this season. He has begun to heat up and, after going 2-for-6 with two steals in Charlotte's win Tuesday, has five multihit games in his last seven. He is hitting .343 during that stretch.
