Pirates acquire LHP Wade LeBlanc in a minor league deal

The Pittsburgh Pirates have acquired left-handed pitcher Wade LeBlanc in a minor league deal from Seattle in exchange for cash considerations or a player to be named.

The Pittsburgh Pirates have acquired left-handed pitcher Wade LeBlanc in a minor league deal from Seattle in exchange for cash considerations or a player to be named. LeBlanc was designated for assignment by the Mariners on August 25 and outrighted to Triple-A Tacoma on September 4.
The 32-year-old LeBlanc went 3-0 with one save and a 4.50 ERA (50.0ip/25er) in 11 appearances (eight starts) with Seattle this season after being acquired from Toronto on June 22 in exchange for a player to be named or cash considerations. Prior to joining the Mariners, LeBlanc went 7-2 with a 1.71 ERA (89.2ip/17er) in 14 starts with Triple-A Buffalo.
In 118 career Major League games (79 starts), LeBlanc has posted a 24-33 record, one save, a 4.48 ERA and 343 strikeouts with the Padres (2008-2011), Marlins (2012-2013), Astros (2013), Angels (2014), Yankees (2014) and Mariners (2016). He spent the 2015 season pitching in Japan with Seibu.
