Pirates announce July 4 will be Military Appreciation Day at PNC Park

Pirates Offering Complimentary Tickets to Military Personnel for July 4 Game

In honor of those who currently serve our country, as well as those who have served in the past, the Pittsburgh Pirates will offer complimentary tickets to active duty military personnel and veterans of the United States Armed Forces for the Wednesday, July 4 game vs. the Houston Astros at 1:35 p.m.

“The Pirates want to take this opportunity to pay tribute to those who serve and have served our nation,” said Bob Nutting, Pirates Chairman of the Board. “We are very grateful to these men and women and all they have done. We are pleased to have them and their families as our guests for this special day at PNC Park.”

All active duty military personnel and veterans can request up to four tickets per military I.D. in advance of the July 4 game, or at the ballpark on July 4. Tickets will be made available while supplies last and are given on a first come, first serve basis.

There are two options for military members to request tickets for the July 4 game:

  1. 1. All military personnel and veterans may go to the PNC Park Main Box Office any time from now to July 4 and present their current military ID or other identification recognizing their service in the military.
  2. 2. On July 4, military service personnel and veterans may report to the special Military Appreciation Booth on Federal Street beginning at 11:30 a.m. to pick up their complimentary tickets for the game.
