Glimpse life as a Pirate on Snapchat Day

March 11th, 2016

BRADENTON, Fla. -- Fans get to see Andrew McCutchen, Starling Marte and Gregory Polanco in the Pirates' outfield just about every day of the season. On Friday, they got a behind-the-scenes look at the talented outfield trio on Snapchat.
Friday was Snapchat Day throughout Major League Baseball. Players and clubs captured the action on the social media service, posting photos and videos from a day in the life at Spring Training.
The Pirates used their team account ("Pirates") to share a number of photos, videos and stories. Around 10 a.m., the Bucs' Snapchat caught McCutchen, Marte and Polanco in a more relaxed moment, rapping and dancing behind the "Bubblegum Dugout Cam" filter.

Pregame dancing in the dugout is nothing new for McCutchen and the Pirates, of course. This is the group that made popular the dugout dance party, after all.
Taking things in a slightly more disturbing direction, the Pirates ran catcher Francisco Cervelli through the "Zombie" filter.
Snapchat Day didn't end when the game began, either. The Pirates captured Juan Nicasio's first pitch to Rays outfielder Steven Souza Jr. from just behind home plate.
