Pirates "How Many Ks" tickets now on sale

The Pittsburgh Pirates announced tickets on sale now for the "How Many Ks" promotion that took place the first three games of the Pirates series in New York. The Pirates pitching staff struck out a total of 23 batters from Thursday, May 9 thru today, Saturday, May 11 and tickets will now be made available for as low as five dollars at pirates.com/howmanyks.

The fan-value promotion allows fans an opportunity to save one dollar for every total strikeout registered on Thursday, May 9 thru Saturday, May 11 as the team takes on the New York Mets at Citi Field as part of the four-game series. Pirates' left-handed pitcher Francisco Liriano led the way with a nine-strikeout performance in his Pirates debut today as the Pirates pitching staff struck out a total of 16 opposing batters in the 11-2 win.

For every strikeout the Pirates pitching staff recorded during the three games in New York, fans receive one dollar off the purchase price of Lower Outfield Box and Outfield Box seats for a game during the week of Monday, May 13 thru Friday, May 17 as the Pirates host the Milwaukee Brewers for a four-game series and the Houston Astros on Friday. The regular advance purchase price for Lower Outfield Box seats is $32, while Outfield Box seats are $28. Thanks to the promotion, tickets in the Lower Outfield Box area are available now for as low as $9 and Outfield Box seats are now available for as little as $5.

Tickets for the week of the promotion will be made available for purchase 30 minutes following the conclusion of today's game exclusively at pirates.com/howmanyks. Tickets will also be available for purchase at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, May 13 at the PNC Park box office or by calling 1-877-893-2827. The promotion will run as long as supplies last.
