Pirates Recall Rogers

The Pirates today recalled infielder Jason Rogers from Triple-A Indianapolis and optioned infielder Cole Figueroa to their Triple-A affiliate.

The Pirates today recalled infielder Jason Rogers from Triple-A Indianapolis and optioned infielder Cole Figueroa to their Triple-A affiliate.
The 28-year-old Rogers (#15) was optioned to Indianapolis on the final day of spring training (4/2) and hit .366 (15-for-41) with four doubles, three home runs and 10 RBI in 11 Triple-A games this season. He went 2-for-4 with a solo home last night in the game at Louisville and produced a 1.118 OPS in his 11 games overall with Indy, where he made three starts at first base, three at third base and five as the designated hitter.
Figueroa was the lone rookie position player on the Pirates active roster and went hitless in nine at bats.
