Pirates select Kevin Kramer 62nd overall in 2015 Draft

The Pittsburgh Pirates today announced they have selected infielder Kevin Kramer in the second round (62nd overall) in the 2015 First-Year Player Draft. The announcement was made by Pirates Director of Scouting Joe DelliCarri.

Kramer hit .323 (82-for-254) with 14 doubles, two triples, seven home runs, 34 RBI and 55 runs scored as a red-shirt junior this year at UCLA. He was also named a first-team All-Pac 12 selection this season and was a Collegiate Baseball pre-season All-American.

In 2013 he started all 66 games for the Bruins at third base while earning honorable mention All-Pac 12 honors while finishing tied for the team lead with 68 hits.
