The Pirates host the Milwaukee Brewers at PNC Park for a three-game series starting today, Friday, April 17, through Sunday, April 19, and the team would like fans coming to the ballpark to be aware of the following traffic situation.

  • PENNDOT has announced the closing of the eastbound (inbound) lanes of the Parkway West (I-376) from I-79 to Parkway Center this weekend starting Friday, April 17 at 10 p.m.

PENNDOT will close the eastbound lanes starting tonight, Friday, April 17, at 10 p.m. and will reopen the lanes on Monday, April 20 at 6 a.m. The closing impacts Pirates fans traveling to PNC Park for the Saturday, April 18 (7:05 p.m.) and Sunday, April 19 (1:35 p.m.) games as well as the Pirates Charities 5K Home Run scheduled to take place Saturday morning at 8 a.m.

Below are two recommended detours for fans entering Pittsburgh from the Parkway West:

  • Continue on I-79 Northbound to Route 65 Southbound to PNC Park parking.
  • Follow Detour signs from the I-79 Carnegie Exit through Carnegie to the Parkway Center entrance to I-376 inbound.

Fans coming to Pittsburgh via the Parkway West from I-79 to Parkway Center are asked to come early and allow for additional time getting to the ballpark. Fans leaving the game will not be affected as all outbound lanes of the Parkway West will be open to regular traffic.
