The Orioles return home today for a nine-game homestand featuring a three-game series against the New York Yankees, a four-game weekend series against the Boston Red Sox, and a two-game, Interleague series against the Pittsburgh Pirates. During the homestand, the Orioles will join all 29 other clubs in celebrating Major League Baseball's PLAY BALL WEEKEND - a league-wide campaign to encourage youth participation in all forms of baseball and softball activities. The Orioles will distribute five giveaways throughout the homestand including the popular Orioles Floppy Hat, presented by Miller Lite, and a MANNY MACHADO Starting Lineup Figure. The club will also host nearly 1,400 children as part of the OriolesREACH Gameday Experience Program during the homestand.
 
In support of PLAY BALL WEEKEND from June 2-4, the Orioles will host a variety of clinics, events, and ceremonies at Oriole Park and in the community to encourage youth to PLAY BALL. As part of the Orioles and Baltimore City Recreation & Parks' annual Baltimore City Youth Clinic, Orioles center fielder ADAM JONES will join coaches WAYNE KIRBY and JETT RUIZ, and former Orioles KEN DIXON, and RICK KRIVDA on Saturday, June 3, to teach baseball and softball fundamentals to 300 Baltimore City youth, many of whom participate in the Orioles RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) program.
 
Kirby will also host a Coaches Clinic for RBI head coaches on Tuesday, May 30, leading up to PLAY BALL WEEKEND and the start of the 2017 Orioles RBI season. A mainstay since its inception in 1989, Orioles RBI has created a partnership with Baltimore City's Department of Recreation & Parks to allow at-risk youth an opportunity to play competitive baseball and softball. The Orioles RBI season will begin on Saturday, June 3, with the addition of four 10-14 division softball teams and the return of eight 10-12 division baseball teams, twelve 13-15 division baseball teams, twelve 16-18 division baseball teams, and six 14-18 division softball teams. At the conclusion of the season, the Orioles send All-Star teams to Philadelphia to represent Baltimore in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Tournament, providing transportation, uniforms, and hotel accommodations. Last year, for the first time in Orioles RBI history, a team from the program advanced to the RBI World Series in Cincinnati.
 
During PLAY BALL WEEKEND, the Orioles will recognize the winners of the Baltimore City High School Baseball and Softball Championships in a pregame ceremony on Friday, June 2. The Orioles will also host the 36th annual Brooks Robinson High School All-Star Game at Oriole Park on Sunday, June 4, showcasing the best high school baseball players in Maryland. Student athletes from both teams will be recognized in a pregame ceremony on Sunday when an Orioles player will present each team with an inscribed bat.
 
All Orioles uniformed personnel will wear PLAY BALL t-shirts during batting practice and all jerseys will feature a PLAY BALL patch throughout the weekend. Prior to Saturday's game, youth softball players from the Baltimore Orioles RBI 10-14 year-old softball division will participate in a pregame cap exchange with Orioles players on the field. This marks the first season that the 10-14 year-old softball division will be part of the Orioles RBI program. Orioles RBI softball players HUNTER ADAMS and TYONAH FLETCHER will participate in a special pregame ceremony. In two weeks, Adams and Fletcher will attend MLB's 2017 Softball Breakthrough Series in Oklahoma City at USA Softball's national headquarters.
 
Additional PLAY BALL WEEKEND highlights include MLB's Pitch, Hit, & Run Team Competition at Oriole Park on Saturday and Manny Machado's fourth annual BaseBOWL Tournament to benefit Baltimore City's Department of Recreation & Parks' Play Baseball Program for local youth following Sunday's game. During Sunday's game, LEMUEL THOMAS, a founding member of the Department's Play Baseball Program will be honored as the Birdland Community Hero for his many years of commitment to youth baseball.
 
Also on Sunday, all fans ages 14 and under will receive a Youth Bat and Ball Set presented by Play Ball and children ages 4 to 14 are invited to run the bases following the game as part of Kids Run the Bases presented by Weis Markets.
 
BIRDLAND COMMUNITY HEROES PROGRAM
Through the Birdland Community Heroes Program, the Orioles recognize community heroes who have inspired others through their spirited commitment to extend a hand in charity, service, hope, and harmony. This recognition honors the heroism of members of our extended Orioles community from all walks of life, occupations, and diverse backgrounds living in our region, our country, and abroad, who have distinguished themselves by selflessly working or volunteering in fields that care for, serve, teach, protect, and improve the lives of others, around the corner or around the globe, who are most in need.
 
The Orioles recognize local Birdland Community Heroes at Oriole Park during every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday home game. 
Through the Orioles' Great Americana Music Weekends, the club will also continue the tradition of celebrating American principles and ideals with live performances of classic, American songs during the seventh-inning stretch featuring "This Land Is Your Land" on Fridays, "America, The Beautiful" on Saturdays, and "God Bless America" on Sundays.

On Memorial Day, all Orioles uniformed personnel will wear ripstop woodland camouflage-designed jerseys and caps. The authenticated, game-worn, autographed jerseys and caps are being auctioned at www.orioles.com/auctions to benefit the Baltimore Orioles Charitable Foundation and the Fort Meade Alliance Foundation. Every Monday and Thursday home game, former Orioles players will sign autographs on Eutaw Street as part of the Orioles Alumni Autograph Series. First base coach WAYNE KIRBY, a supporter of the Orioles RBI program, will host a Coaches Clinic for RBI head coaches on Tuesday, May 30, at Oriole Park at 2:00 p.m. The clinic will cover a variety of topics including positive coaching and baseball fundamentals and drills. Following the clinic, coaches will participate in a coaching workshop provided by Positive Coaching Alliance. For the ninth consecutive year, the Orioles will support the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter, Inc. (BARCS) through sales of the 2017-18 Orioles Pet Calendar presented by Pet+E.R. The full-color calendar will be available for purchase later this season. The Orioles will host a press conference for the 36th annual Brooks Robinson High School All-Star Game at Oriole Park on Thursday, June 1, on the fourth floor of the Warehouse in the Designated Hitter Lounge at 12:00 p.m. Orioles Legend and National Baseball Hall of Famer BROOKS ROBINSON is expected to appear at the press conference introducing players and coaches from across the state of Maryland who have been selected to participate in the game. The Brooks Robinson High School All-Star Game will take place at Oriole Park on Sunday, June 4, following the Orioles' 1:35 p.m. game against the Boston Red Sox.

Orioles pitcher KEVIN GAUSMAN, and his wife, TAYLOR, will join members of the Orioles on Deck Employee Volunteer Program presented by Bank of America on Friday, June 2, to launch "Tails with Tales" - a new collaboration between the Orioles and the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter, Inc. (BARCS). The new project will pair adoptable animals with school children as 'reading buddies' in an effort to provide companionship to animals while promoting reading comprehension and vocabulary development among youth. NATIONAL CHAMPION CHESS PLAYER TO VISIT ORIOLES
Prior to Friday's game, 12 year-old CAHREE MYRICK will visit with Orioles players and compete with them in a game of chess. Myrick recently won his division with a perfect score in the U.S. National Chess Tournament in Nashville, a competition that drew 249 participants from 28 states. A straight-A student athlete, Myrick is currently a seventh grader at Roland Park Elementary/Middle School. RECOGNITION OF BALTIMORE CITY HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL AND SOFTBALL CHAMPIONS
The Orioles will recognize the winners of the Baltimore City High School Baseball and Softball Championships during a pregame ceremony on Friday, June 2. On May 8, the Baltimore City College baseball team defeated the defending champion Baltimore Polytechnic Institute by the score of 7-0, and the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute softball team defeated the Baltimore City College softball team by the score of 11-1.

Friday nights are Student Nights at Oriole Park. Any student with a valid ID may purchase a Left Field Upper Reserve ticket for only $7 at every Friday home game during the 2017 regular season. The Orioles will partner with Baltimore City's Department of Recreation & Parks to conduct their annual Baltimore City youth baseball and softball clinic at Radecke Park (5628 Radecke Avenue) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 3. ADAM JONES, along with coaches WAYNE KIRBY and JETT RUIZ, and former Orioles KEN DIXON and RICK KRIVDA will be on hand to help teach baseball and softball fundamentals to 300 city youth, most of whom are participants in the Orioles RBI program. In addition to receiving baseball and softball training, each child will enjoy food and refreshments provided by ESSKAY and Coca-Cola, respectively. BALTIMORE ORIOLES RBI PROGRAM SEASON BEGINS
Following the Baltimore City Youth Clinic, the Baltimore Orioles RBI Program, which is part of Major League Baseball's RBI initiative, will begin the 2017 season. The Orioles RBI Program will add four 10-13 division softball teams and return eight 10-12 division baseball teams, twelve 13-15 division baseball teams, twelve 16-18 division baseball teams, and six 14-18 division softball teams this season. The Orioles support RBI participants in a variety of ways including providing complimentary tickets to RBI coaches and players, covering umpire fees for the season, and providing each team with baseballs and bats.
 
MLB'S PITCH, HIT & RUN CHAMPIONSHIP
The Orioles will host Major League Baseball's Pitch, Hit & Run Team Championship at Oriole Park on Saturday, June 3, at 10:00 a.m. The top 24 qualifiers from Delaware and Maryland will compete in hopes of advancing to the National Finals, which will take place during 2017 MLB All-Star Week in Miami. The Orioles will host the 36th annual Brooks Robinson High School All-Star Game at Oriole Park on Sunday, June 4, at the conclusion of the Orioles game and the Kids Run the Bases event. Hosted by the Orioles for the past 36 years, the Brooks Robinson High School All-Star Game showcases the best high school baseball players in Maryland. The game will feature the top players from northern Maryland against the best players from southern Maryland. MANNY MACHADO TO HOST FOURTH ANNUAL BASEBOWL TOURNAMENT
Orioles third baseman MANNY MACHADO, and his wife, YAINEE, will host their fourth annual BaseBOWL Tournament, a celebrity charity event to support Baltimore City's Department of Recreation & Parks' Play Baseball Program on Sunday, June 4. The sold-out event will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Mustang Alleys Bar, Bowling and Bistro, located at 1300 Bank Street. Several of Machado's teammates and coaches are expected to attend. Machado will speak with the media at 5:45 p.m. The eight-week Play Baseball Program benefits 300 youth each summer by supplying baseball equipment, uniforms, transportation, and field refurbishment. In support of Machado's efforts, the Orioles Charitable Foundation will donate $10,000 to the Play Baseball Program. Last year's event raised more than $92,000 for the Play Baseball Program.

STEAL SECOND BASE PRESENTED BY ESSKAY
The Orioles will again feature the Steal Second Base contest during every Sunday home game this season. Presented by ESSKAY, the Steal Second Base contest challenges a young fan to race from the grounds crew area in center field to retrieve second base and back. Fans can enter the contest at any Fan Assistance Center. The lucky winner will receive four tickets to that day's game, an Orioles/ESSKAY jersey T-shirt and an Orioles cap. The contestants will also get to keep the authentic base that they steal. The participant for Sunday, June 4, is CALEB REED, 10-year-old from Crofton, Md.

ALEC ASHER TO APPEAR AT ORIOLES TEAM STORE IN YORK
On Tuesday, June 6, Orioles pitcher ALEC ASHER will make an appearance at the Orioles Team Store in the York Galleria (2899 Whiteford Rd., York, Pa.) from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Asher will sign autographs and greet fans. The event is free of charge and open to the public. 
 
BALTIMORE CITY SCHOOLS NIGHT AT ORIOLE PARK
On Tuesday, June 6, the Orioles will celebrate Baltimore City Schools Night with more than 4,000 students, teachers, and staff in attendance for the game against the Pirates. The national anthem will be performed by Western High School Sounds Unlimited and the color guard will be presented by Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by Teacher of the Year, JUSTIN HOLBROOK, a fourth-grade math and science at Roland Park Elementary/Middle School. Holbrook will be accompanied by DR. SONJA BROOKINS SANTELISES, CEO of Baltimore City Schools. The Orioles will donate a suite to the Baltimore City School Teacher of the Year nominees for the game.
