Melvin loses challenge in game vs. Astros
HOUSTON -- A's manager Bob Melvin lost his challenge of a foul call on Brandon Moss' batted ball in the fifth inning of a 5-5 game in Houston.
With Josh Donaldson standing on first base, Moss lined a ball down the right-field line, and first-base umpire Jerry Meals ruled it was foul. Melvin challenged and, upon further review, the play stood as called, as the replay was inconclusive.
