Playing in San Francisco serves Stanton well

SAN FRANCISCO -- Giancarlo Stanton, who led the Major Leagues in RBIs and had the longest active hitting streak at 16 games going into Thursday's series opener against the Giants, loves to hit at AT&T Park.

Stanton has a four-game hitting streak against the Giants, as well as a career .702 slugging percentage at AT&T Park. He has nine doubles and four home runs in 14 games in San Francisco.

"He just continues to get better and better," manager Mike Redmond said. "He feels good, and he's healthy. He's making contact and putting the ball in play. It's great to see him getting base hits as well."
