CLEVELAND -- When the Indians open the gates to Progressive Field on Tuesday to welcome another baseball season, fans will see more sweeping changes in the ballpark.
This week, the Tribe provided a sneak peek at the renovations that have dramatically altered the look of the concourse behind home plate and the base lines. Walls have been knocked out to provide better views of the field, standing sections have been added to further enhance the social experience and a wave of new concessions have been built.
The Indians have a new Home Plate Club for select season-ticket holders behind home plate, a new Great Lake Brewing Co. beer garden located by the team shop and now feature the largest digital scoreboard in the Major Leagues.

In the newly established Infield District, the Indians have added concessions featuring local restaurants Brew Kettle, Cleveland Pickle, Dante's Inferno, Happy Dog, Fat Head's Brewery, Momocho and Ohio City Burrito. Those join the Right Field District offerings added last year: Barrio, Dynomite Burgers and Shakes, Great Lakes Brewing Co., Melt Bar and Grilled and Sweet Moses.

This offseason's renovations were the second phase of Cleveland's Progressive Field project. Among the changes last year, the Indians increased the sightlines in a more wide-open entrance area in center field, moved the bullpens to center, built the popular Corner Bar and expanded the team's Kids Clubhouse to two levels.
On Friday, the Indians also announced that they have extended their partnership with FirstEnergy, adding a green energy pact as part of the agreement. The Indians will purchase green power (100 percent Green-e Certified wind energy) to fuel Progressive Field.
