The latest edition of MLBPipeline.com's Prospect Team of the Week (July 24-30) features a pair of Class A players in Alex Wells and Jose Siri, both first-time selections and both currently in the middle of impressive streaks on the mound and at the plate, respectively.

The team has its share of Top 100 talents, too, with Dominic Smith and Ryan McMahon both garnering PTOW honors for a second time this season after they each put up big numbers across the board in the Pacific Coast League.

C: Logan Ice, Lake County Captains (Class A)

Ice began his week with his first career four-hit game, and he proceeded to collect at least one knock in each of his next four contests to finish with the highest average and the most total bases (14) among Top 30 catchers. The strong showing helped the 22-year-old backstop improve his average to .236, the highest it's been since May 15.
1B: Dominic Smith, Las Vegas 51s (Triple-A)

Smith lands on MLBPipeline's Prospect Team of the Week for the second time in four weeks after he led all Top 30 first basemen in all three triple-slash categories as well as in total bases (16). The 22-year-old first baseman recorded multiple hits in five of his six contests for Las Vegas. Six of his 12 hits went for extra bases, as he recorded four doubles and bookended his week with home runs on Sunday and Monday.

2B: Ryan McMahon, Albuquerque Isotopes (Triple-A)

This marks McMahon's second Prospect Team of the Week appearance, though it's his first as a second baseman after he appeared in four of his six games last week at the keystone. McMahon, 22, led all prospects at the position in all three triple-slash categories and total bases (23), while also tying for the most home runs and finishing second in RBIs. He's been on a tear offensively since moving up to the Pacific Coast League, slashing .390/.415/.648 with 11 homers and 20 doubles in 50 games.

3B: Lucas Erceg, Carolina Mudcats (Class A Advanced)

Erceg's big week for Carolina saw him post the highest triple-slash line among Top 30 third basemen, whom he also led in hits (11) and total bases (24). The 22-year-old infielder went deep and collected multiple hits in three straight games from July 26-29, during which he accrued nine of his 12 RBIs for the week.

Acquired by the A's in the July 16 deal that sent Sean Doolittle and Ryan Madson to Washington, Neuse has quickly settled in with his new organization. He ranked first among shortstops in runs scored, total bases (19) and RBIs last week, all while connecting on three home runs and compiling more walks than strikeouts. He did much of his damage on July 28, when he drove in a career-high five runs with his first career multihomer performance, which he then followed the next day with his first four-hit game.
OF: Billy McKinney, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders (Triple-A)

McKinney's big week really was a product of his back-to-back monster games on July 28-29, during which he combined to go 7-for-9 with five extra-base hits, eight RBIs and seven runs scored for the RailRiders. It helped him pace all Top 30 outfielders in total bases (23), and he was the lone outfielder to tally at least two doubles, triples and home runs apiece. The 22-year-old outfielder is hitting .347/.390/.663 through his first 25 Triple-A games.

OF: Jose Siri, Dayton Dragons (Class A)

Siri hit safely in all six games for Class A Dayton last week to extend his hitting streak to 35 games, the longest in the Minor Leagues this season. With a hit on Monday, he'd own the longest hitting streak in Midwest League history. The 22-year-old center fielder began his streak on June 22 and has bumped his average from .260 to .297 over that stretch, during which he's also posted 14 multihit games and hit 13 homers. What's more, he's currently the only Minor Leaguer to have at least 19 home runs and 29 stolen bases.

OF: Ryder Jones, Sacramento River Cats (Triple-A)

Though he recorded hits in all five games for Sacramento last week, it was Jones' performance over the weekend which lands him on his first Prospect Team of the Week. Jones, 23, erupted for a pair of solo home runs in a 3-for-4 performance on Saturday, one day after connecting on a solo shot and going 2-for-4. Overall, he led all outfielders in hitting, on-base percentage and OPS (1.624), while also tying for first in home runs.

LHP: Alex Wells, Delmarva Shorebirds (Class A)

Wells earns Prospect Team of the Week honors for a second straight week after he extended his scoreles- innings streak to 31 by tossing seven blank frames, allowing three hits and matching his career high with seven strikeouts for Delmarva on Sunday. The 20-year-old left-hander hasn't given up a run since June 30th, a stretch covering his last five starts. He's lowered his ERA from 3.14 to 2.29 during that stretch, all while limiting opposing hitters to a .124 average and posting a 26-to-0 K-to-BB ratio.
RHP: Grant Holmes, Midland RockHounds (Double-A)
(A's No. 10 prospect)
2-0, 0.69 ERA, 2 GS, 13 IP, 6 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 11 K, 0.62 WHIP
Holmes was sharp in his two wins for Midland, tossing seven scoreless frames of three-hit ball on Monday before capping his week with a six-inning, one-run performance on Sunday. Since he allowed eight earned runs in five innings on July 8, the 21-year-old right-hander is 3-1 with a 1.44 ERA and a .145 batting average against over his last four starts in the Texas League.

RP: Gerson Moreno, Erie SeaWolves (Double-A)

Moreno, 21, struck out seven of the 18 batters he faced last week over three appearances, two of which saw the right-hander work at least two innings. The right-hander has been a late-inning reliever this season for the SeaWolves, logging eight saves and posting a 3.07 ERA with 55 strikeouts in 41 innings (12.1 K/9) over 33 appearances.
