The latest edition of MLBPipeline.com's Prospect Team of the Week (July 4 - July 10) is led by outfielder David Dahl (Rockies' No. 2) and third baseman Hunter Dozier (Royals' No. 14), both of whom enjoyed monstrous weeks at the plate before representing the United States in the 2016 SiriusXM Futures Game on Sunday night.
Dahl's week began with a promotion to Triple-A Albuquerque from Double-A Hartford, where he had hit .278/.367/.500 with 36 extra-base hits including 13 home runs, 53 runs scored and 16 stolen bases over 76 games. The No. 40 overall prospect hit the ground running in the Pacific Coast League, notching back-to-back three-hit games followed by a four-hit performance while posting a .500 average over six games. And despite going 0-for-2 at the plate in the Futures Game, Dahl still made his mark on the game with a great throw from center field to nail Josh Naylor at the plate.

Dozier's week saw him notch five multihit games including four three-hit performances en route to posting a robust .636 average for Triple-A Omaha. In the Futures Game, he grounded out to shortstop in his lone at-bat. Overall, the 24-year-old has rebounded to hit .330/.394/.578 with 17 home runs and 27 doubles this season after a disappointing 2015 campaign.

C: Tom Murphy, Albuquerque Isotopes (Triple-A)

Murphy makes his second PTOW appearance after he blasted four home runs and collected multiple hits in all four games for Albuquerque last week en route to posting an absurd 2.417 OPS over 16 plate appearances. He went deep in three of those contests, giving him 11 homers in 43 games for the season, and capped his week with a two-homer, five-RBI game on Saturday against Las Vegas.

1B: Rhys Hoskins, Reading Fightin' Phils (Double-A)
(Phillies No. 19 prospect)

Hoskins appears on this list for the third time in the last five weeks after his impressive week for Reading. The 23-year-old slugged a trio of homers -- including his second multihomer performance of the season on July 5 -- to take the outright Minor League lead with 25, and he also paced all first basemen with 14 RBIs and 19 total bases.

2B: Luis Urias, El Paso Chihuahuas (Triple-A)

After hitting a pair of home runs over three games in the Class A Advanced California League, Urias was promoted directly to Triple-A El Paso on July 8, making him the youngest everyday player in the Pacific Coast League. The 19-year-old's age didn't keep him from making an immediate impact at the Minors' highest level, as he went 4-for-9 with a home run, five RBIs, five walks and six runs scored in his first three contests for the Chihuahuas.

3B: Hunter Dozier, Omaha Storm Chasers (Triple-A)

Dozier banged out multiple hits in all five games for Omaha and collected three hits in four contests to finish his week with a .636 average, 14 hits and a 1.725 OPS, all of which were far away the best marks among all third baseman.

SS: Miguelangel Sierra, Greenville Astros (Rookie)

Sierra paced all hitters by hitting five home runs (all solo shots) in five games while slugging 1.444 with a 2.016 OPS for Greenville, and he put a bow on his impressive week with his first career two-homer game on Saturday. Overall, the 18-year-old shortstop has gone deep eight times in his first 14 games this season.
OF: Mike Gerber, Lakeland Flying Tigers (Class A Advanced)

Gerber put together a six-game hitting streak for Class A Advanced Lakeland last week during which he hit three home runs and tallied 11 RBIs. The 24-year-old has now hit 12 homers in 82 games this season, while his next long ball will match the career-best total he posted over 135 games in the Midwest League in 2015.

Dahl's first week in Triple-A could have not gone better. After going 3-for-5 with a home run in his Albuquerque debut, the 22-year-old stayed hot by notching hits in his next five contests to finish the week 13-for-26 at the plate with five extra-base hits and six runs scored.

OF: Eddy Martinez, South Bend Cubs (Class A)

Martinez extended his hitting streak to 10 games as he collected hits in all seven games, and he concluded his impressive week by tallying multiple hits in five straight games for South Bend, during which he notched six extra-base hits and seven RBIs. After a slow start to his first U.S. campaign, the 21-year-old, whom the Cubs signed for $3 million last October, has improved his season batting line to .268/.342/.409 from .236/.309/.359 during his ongoing hitting streak.
LHP: Thomas Szapucki, Kingsport Mets (Rookie)

Szapucki, 20, earns PTOW honors for the second time in three weeks after he allowed one earned run and piled up 19 strikeouts in 11 innings (two starts) for Kingsport. The 20-year-old fanned 11 hitters -- his second double-digit strikeout performance in four starts -- over five innings of two-run ball (one earned) on July 4, and followed it by striking out eight over five frames to pick up his first pro win on Sunday. All together, the 2015 fifth-rounder has registered a 0.42 ERA with 38 strikeouts in 21 2/3 innings to begin his season.
RHP: Cody Ponce, Brevard County Manatees

In his first start last week, Ponce, the Brewers' second-round Draft pick in 2015, tossed five scoreless innings of two-hit ball, striking out five, against Dunedin. The 22-year-old followed that performance with an even better one as he established career highs with 12 strikeouts in six scoreless innings without issuing a walk against Bradenton. Between both outings, Ponce allowed just five hits (all singles) and posted a 17-0 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
