Top June draft pick Cal Quantrill made his third professional start Thursday night and right-handers Aaron Northcraft (Double-A) and Walker Lockett (Class A Advanced) each allowed one earned run on four hits over seven innings in the Padres' system Thursday night.
Quantrill, the eighth overall pick of the 2016 Draft, allowed a run on three hits with four strikeouts in three innings for the Arizona Rookie Padres.
Northcraft allowed one run on four hits and two walks with three strikeouts in San Antonio's 3-1 win over Midland. He improved to 2-2 while lowering his ERA to 2.88.
Lockett (4-3, 2.98 ERA) allowed two runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk with two strikeouts in his seven-inning outing in Lake Elsinore's 8-2 win over Visalia.
There were a number of moves Thursday, including the re-activation of outfielders Manuel Margot and Hunter Renfroe and second baseman to the Triple-A El Paso roster. Also, right-handed starter Brandon Morrow was activated from the Chihuahua's seven-day disabled list.
Right-handed starter Michael Kelly was moved from El Paso to San Antonio and right-hander T.J. Weir was placed on the Missions' seven-day disabled list with a forearm strain. Infielder Chase Jensen was activated from San Antonio's disabled list and infielder Felipe Blanco was moved from San Antonio to Lake Elsinore.

LHP Keith Hessler (3.75 ERA) had two strikeouts in two scoreless innings. RHP Derek Eitel (2.96 ERA) allowed two runs on five hits with two strikeouts in two innings.
DOUBLE-A SAN ANTONIO (9-11, 31-59): MISSIONS 3, Midland 1 -- LHP Kyle McGrath (1.20 ERA) followed Northcraft and allowed two hits with a strikeout in a scoreless inning. RHP Jason Jester (2.45 ERA) allowed a hit with a strikeout in a scoreless ninth to get his 12th save. CF Franchy Cordero (.339) was 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored to see his 13-game hitting streak end. 2B Nelson Ward (.233) had a double in four at-bats with his 24th steal, a walk and an RBI.
CLASS A ADVANCED LAKE ELSINORE (21-9, 44-47): STORM 8, Visalia 2 -- 1B Trae Santos (.220) was 2-for-3 with his sixth homer, three RBIs and two runs scored. 2B Luis Urias (.327) was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored. 3B Ty France (.316) was 1-for-3 with a walk and three runs scored. RF Franmil Reyes (.244) was 1-for-3 with a sacrifice fly and two RBIs. CF Michael Gettys (.318) had a double in three at-bats with a walk, an RBI and a run scored.
