August 12th, 2016

NEW YORK -- The start of Friday's series opener between the Rays and Yankees at Yankee Stadium, originally set for 7:35 p.m. ET, has been delayed by thunderstorms, with an estimated first pitch time of 8 p.m.
Shortly after the tarp was placed on the field, the Yankees honored Alex Rodriguez, who will be released by the Yankees after playing Friday's game. Rodriguez, with 696 career home runs, is in the starting lineup as New York's designated hitter, batting third.
