For the second time in three days, the Reds have had a game postponed because of rain. Cincinnati’s game vs. the Tigers on Saturday was washed out by showers and was rescheduled as part of a doubleheader on Sunday.

Game 1 is scheduled to begin at 12:10 p.m. ET at Comerica Park. Under a new rule from MLB that began Saturday to protect the health of players, all games that are part of doubleheaders this season will be seven innings each.

Saturday’s game was originally slated for 6:10 p.m. ET but was moved up by the Tigers in an attempt to avoid inclement weather in the forecast. Shortly before the adjusted 1:10 p.m. ET first pitch, showers started over Detroit and the tarp was rolled out over the field.

The Reds still need to make up Thursday’s rainout vs. the Cubs. A date for that game has not been scheduled.
