Ramos reports progress with hamstring strain

WASHINGTON -- Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos, who is on the disabled list with a left hamstring strain, said he is running and hitting without any problems. It's not known when he will be back to squatting behind the plate.

There is a possibility Ramos could be going to Florida and play in extended spring games by the end of next week. Ramos said he has to be 100 percent before he could play in any games.

"I feel a lot better today. I have to keep working and get my hamstring stronger," Ramos said. "I'll come back ready."

Ramos re-injured the hamstring May 15 against the Dodgers after he singled in the fourth.
