Rangers agree to terms with 1B/DH Mitch Moreland on one-year contract for 2014

Moreland was last Ranger eligible for salary arbitration

Arlington, Texas - The Texas Rangers announced this afternoon that the club has agreed to terms with first baseman/designated hitter Mitch Moreland on a one-year contract for the 2014 season. No further terms were disclosed.

With Moreland's agreement, all Rangers eligible for salary arbitration have now agreed to terms for 2014.

Moreland, 28, batted .232 with 24 doubles, 23 home runs, and 60 RBI in 147 games for Texas in 2013, establishing career highs in games, doubles, homers, RBI, walks (45), and total bases (202).
