The Texas Rangers and Chicago Cubs will play a spring training doubleheader this Wednesday, March 23 at Surprise Stadium.

The Rangers and Cubs meet in a Cactus League matchup at 1:05 p.m. MT. The second annual Rangers-Cubs Futures Game will follow approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

One ticket is good for both games of the Rangers-Cubs doubleheader. The Futures Game will also be a full nine-inning game. Both games will be televised by FOX Sports Southwest.

The Futures Game Series between the Rangers and Cubs began last March with Texas earning a 5-1 victory at Sloan Park in Mesa. The best prospects and young players from each organization will again showcase their talents in this game.

In addition, each team will receive a charitable donation as part of the Futures Game endeavor. Those funds will go to the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation, which is dedicated to improving the lives of children in need and providing funding for youth in crisis, youth health initiatives, youth baseball programs, and youth education, and the Cubs Charities Diamond Project, which expands opportunities for children to play baseball in the Mesa community.
