ARLINGTON -- Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton is scheduled to begin a medical rehabilitation assignment at Double-A Frisco on Saturday.
Hamilton is expected to play five innings in the outfield against Corpus Christi.
This will be Hamilton's first game since Game 5 of the American League Division Series against the Blue Jays. He missed all of Spring Training and began the season on the disabled list with inflammation in his left knee while recovering from offseason surgery.
Hamilton has spent the past week playing in extended Spring Training. His last game was on Thursday when he went 2-for-5.
