Rangers sign Bass to Minor League contract

The Rangers signed right-hander to a Minor League contract that includes an invite to Major League Spring Training, the club announced on Saturday.
Bass last pitched in the Majors in 2015 when he recorded a 4.50 ERA in 64 relief innings for the Rangers.
In 2016, Bass played with the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters. The 29-year-old went 8-8 with a 3.65 ERA in 37 appearances (14 starts).
Bass' signing brings the Rangers' total of non-roster invitees for Spring Training to 19.
