Rangers to face lefties, but not Wilson

SEATTLE -- The Rangers did not face a left-handed starting pitcher on their last road trip and aren't scheduled to face one in Seattle. But that should change when they get to Oakland.

The Athletics rotation is set up for left-handers Drew Pomeranz and Tommy Milone to pitch on Monday and Tuesday during their three-game series with the Rangers. Right-hander Sonny Gray will pitch on Wednesday. This will be Pomeranz's first start against the Rangers. They drafted him in the 12th round in the 2007 First-Year Player Draft but did not sign him

The Rangers are off on Thursday before opening a three-game series against the Angels next Friday. The Rangers are not expected to face former teammate C.J. Wilson in that series unless weather forces the Angels to change the rotation. The Angels are lined up to have left-hander Hector Santiago pitch the opener, followed by right-handers Matt Shoemaker and Jered Weaver.
