The Texas Rangers will play the Oakland A's and Los Angeles Angels for three games each beginning on Friday, September 16 at Globe Life Park in Arlington. 
The A's are in town for 7:05 p.m. games on Friday and Saturday and a 2:05 p.m. matinee on Sunday afternoon. A post-game fireworks show set to the walk-up music of Rangers' players takes place tomorrow night.
On Saturday, the Rangers will host the team's annual Law Enforcement Night. The Rangers are encouraging all fans to wear blue on Saturday to recognize the brave men and women who provide protection each and a every day. A number of pre-game activities will take place, including:
--All officers in attendance that night will participate in the pre-game recognition and will be joined by 20 motorcycle officers from the Arlington and Dallas Police Departments.
--Special recognition for Euless Police Officers Ed Pietrowski and Michael Sarro. Officers Pietrowski and Sarro were named the National Officers of the Month this past August after responding to a "shots fired" incident at a local park in which they lost close friend and fellow officer David Hofer to a gunman hiding in a nearby ditch. 
--Special Recognition for the Peace Officers Angels Foundation who will be represented by recently injured Dallas Police Officer Leo Barrientos and POAF board members and former injured officers Detectives Charles Lodatto and Bryan Graham.
--Ceremonial first pitch by El Centro College Police Officer John Abbott, a member of the Texas Rangers family who was injured in the line of duty during tragic events in downtown Dallas on July 7. Officer Abbott will be accompanied to the mound by the Arlington Police Chief Will Johnson and Fort Worth Police Chief Joel Fitzgerald.
--National Anthem and God Bless America performed by Sergeant Ray Polk of the Arlington Police Department.
--A moment of silence to honor the law enforcement officers who have lost their lives will be observed prior to the National Anthem.
--Family members of those police officers who lost their lives on July 7 in downtown Dallas will be on the field near the first base dugout during the moment of silence and National Anthem.

The Angels close the homestand with 7:05 games on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, September 19, 20, and 21. Pitcher Cole Hamels will be recognized as the 2016 Rangers nominee for the Roberto Clemente Award prior to Tuesday's game.Fans can vote for Hamels as part of the selection process for the overall winner of the Roberto Clemente Award on social media posting the hashtag #VoteHemels to Twitter and Facebook. Deadline for fans to vote is Sunday, October 2. 
To further celebrate Clemente's enduring legacy in 2016, Major League Baseball worked with the 30 Clubs to establish SEAT 21. SEAT 21 will be a designated seat on September 20 dedicated to Arlington ISD Superintendent Dr. Marcelo Cavelos, who embodies the humanitarian spirit of Roberto Clemente.
