ARLINGTON -- The Do It For Durrett Foundation and the Texas Rangers Foundation will combine to host the social event of the season during the Rangers' game against the Mariners on June 16 at Globe Life Park.

The Do It For Durrett Goes Yard will be held in the climate-controlled comfort of the Hyundai Club overlooking center field.

This is the third straight year that the Do It For Durrett Foundation has hosted a summer fundraising event noted for the who's who of attendees and the impressive volume of sports memorabilia and fan-experience items available during the live and silent auctions.

Included are trips to the Baseball Hall of Fame, Spring Training and the All-Star Game, as well as courtside seats with Mavericks owner Mark Cuban. Signed memorabilia includes donations from Dirk Nowitzki, Nolan Ryan, Nelson Cruz, Carlos Correa, Derek Holland, Scott Feldman and current Rangers.

This is the first year for a partnership between the Do It For Durrett Foundation and the Texas Rangers Foundation. Part of the proceeds from the Texas 2 Split 50/50 on June 16 will go to Do It For Durrett. Proceeds from two other Texas 2 Split 50/50 dates will also go to the Do It For Durrett Foundation.

"Our foundation has thrived since we started because of our relationship with the Rangers," Do It For Durrett president Emily Jones said. "This is just the next step for us. With the Rangers Foundation getting involved, we are guaranteed to be able to help families in need for years to come. And there's no better place to have an event than at Globe Life Park."

Tickets for the event are on sale now at www.doitfordurrett.com. Tickets are $75 for reserved seating and $50 for general admission, and will be mailed to the buyers. All ticket prices include game ticket, dinner and an event T-shirt.

The Do It For Durrett Foundation was established in 2014 after the passing of longtime sports writer Richard Durrett, who left behind his wife, Kelly, and three children. The Foundation raises money for families who are impacted by sudden loss.

This year $50,000 is going to the family of Brandon Pugh, who was killed in an automobile accident earlier this year. Pugh, who lived in Poetry, is survived by his wife, Lindsay, and children Henley, Macie, Reese, Rylie, Braden and Cati. Reese was also injured in the accident, which happened returning from baseball practice, but is expected to make a full recovery.

The live auction will be for those who have tickets in the Hyundai Club. The silent auction, which will be located just outside the Hyundai Club, will be open for everyone at the park.

"We are honored to be able to help the Do It For Durrett Foundation," said Neil Leibman, chairman of the Texas Rangers Foundation. "Their beliefs fall in line with what we try to do as an organization. Just as we try to improve lives of youth in the community, they try to improve lives of families."

Since its inception in 2014, the Do It For Durrett Foundation has raised more than $500,000 and helped 29 families impacted by sudden loss.
