September 29th, 2016

CHICAGO -- The start of the White Sox third of four games against the Rays on Wednesday night at U.S. Cellular Field was delayed by rain. The forecast called for rain for most of the evening and off and on throughout Thursday.
Another delay took place at 8:15 p.m. CT with one out in the bottom of the third and the game scoreless. At that point, the estimation was the delay would last 45 minutes to an hour.
Chicago won the first two games of the series and had won four in a row entering the contest. The Rays had lost five straight, with Thursday night's scheduled contest standing as the final game of the season between the two.
The White Sox announced a 7:30 p.m. CT start time, which would mean a delay of 20 minutes.
