Rays announce new in-game emcee

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.-The Tampa Bay Rays welcome Bobby Millikin as the organization's new in-game emcee. He will host his first game today, April 4, at Tropicana Field when the Rays host the Detroit Tigers at 12:35 p.m. in their final Grapefruit League game of the spring.

"Of the hundreds of applicants we received, we were most impressed with his humor, talent and ability to easily connect with fans," said Rays Vice President of Marketing and Game Entertainment Darcy Raymond. "We look forward to seeing him flourish as our new in-game host."

In his new role, Millikin will perform a variety of duties including live reads both pregame and in-game and hosting contests and live promotions displayed on the scoreboard. Millikin will also represent the Rays at various community activities and watch parties throughout the season.

Millikin most recently worked as a pitchman for national television commercials at Sullivan Productions with renowned salesman Anthony Sullivan. He oversaw office operations as well as the company's New Products Division.

Millikin made his television debut on MTV in the summer of 1999. Throughout the course of his career, he has held various entertainment personality roles and served as marketing director for a luxury apartment community.

Millikin holds a bachelor's degree in marketing with a minor in management information systems from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
