Tampa Bay Rays, Pitcher Chris Archer and Good Sports Team Up In Support of Middleton High School

School to receive over $14,000 in new baseball, football, and fitness equipment

Fresh off his Roberto Clemente Award nomination, Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Chris Archer and national non-profit Good Sports have partnered to present over $14,000 in new baseball, football, and fitness equipment to the Middleton High School baseball and football teams.   This donation of equipment - including baseball bats, pitching and fielding nets, an L screen, a tri-fold backstop screen, baseball gloves, baseball cleats, football practice uniforms, footballs, blocking dummies, and speed chute trainers will allow the teams to focus their attention on the field instead of fundraising for new equipment.

WHO: Chris Archer, Rays front office staff, and Good Sports staff will join student athletes and administration from Middleton High School

WHAT: Middleton High School will receive a variety of equipment for their baseball and football teams, valued at over $14,000

WHEN: Thursday, September 17th, 2015 from 11:00am to 11:30am

WHERE: Middleton High School, 4801 N. 22nd St., Tampa, FL 33610 

WHY: This donation rounds out the second year of partnership between Good Sports, Chris Archer and the Tampa Bay Rays that will help bring new equipment and resources to youth sports organizations in Port Charlotte, Tampa and St. Petersburg, FL through 2015.
