Dickerson, Peterson homer vs. Phillies

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- Corey Dickerson and provided the punch for the Rays on Monday afternoon in a 7-2 victory over the Phillies in a Grapefruit League matchup at Spectrum Field.
Dickerson hit a two-run home run to left field in the fifth inning against Phillies prospect and Peterson crushed a two-run homer to right in the sixth against Minor Leaguer Miguel Nunez. They were the first homers of the spring for Dickerson and Peterson.

Phillies third baseman ripped a solo home run to left field in the fourth inning. It was his third homer of the spring.
Rays left-hander allowed four hits, one run and struck out one in two innings.
"Happy about [my first outing]," Snell said. "It was kind of cool at first, kind of shaky with the fastball, I wasn't throwing any strikes with it. And next thing, throwing nothing but strikes with it. … Once it was coming out good, I felt more confidence with it."
Phillies right-hander allowed one hit, one run, one walk and struck out two in two innings.
"It went well," Eickhoff said. "It could have been a lot better. It's just funny going from the offseason to now, all the experiences you've gained through the time up here, you always lose a step going from the offseason to now, and you never slow it down as much as you want to. I took some steps in the right direction. I can improve, though."

Rays Up Next: The Rays will host the Twins on Tuesday afternoon at Charlotte Sports Park in a 1:05 p.m. ET contest. Alex Cobb will make his first start of the spring. Others scheduled to pitch include Brad Boxberger, Alex Colome, David Carpenter, , Danny Farquhar, and . is scheduled to make his first appearance of the spring as he's slated to play third base. will start for the Twins.
