Rays host Diamondbacks, World Champion Giants in five-game homestand

Highlights include $2 Kids Night, Maddon Gnome Giveaway

ST. PETERSBURG, FL-Returning to Tropicana Field for the first time since July 14 and following a 10-game road trip against American League East opponents, the Tampa Bay Rays will host two National League teams beginning Tuesday, July 30. The Rays will face the Arizona Diamondbacks (July 30-31) in a two-game series before a three-game weekend series against the San Francisco Giants (August 2-4). The defending World Champion Giants are making just their second-ever visit to Tropicana Field and first since 2004.

The Rays have currently won 19 of their last 22 games, the best 22-game stretch in club history and best by any AL team since the 2006 Minnesota Twins (20-2).

The Rays and Diamondbacks will meet for the first time this season on Tuesday, July 30 with first pitch scheduled for 7:10 p.m. 

Wednesday's Rays-Diamondbacks game is $2 Kids Night at Tropicana Field. With the purchase of one full-priced adult ticket to the 7:10 p.m. game, fans can purchase up to three tickets for kids ages 2-14 for just $2 each in selected seating categories while supplies last. This advanced sale offer is available online through raysbaseball.com. Free parking is also available on Wednesday for cars with four or more passengers.

The Rays will open their three-game series against the Giants on Friday, August 2 at 7:10 p.m. Back by popular demand, the Joe Maddon Gnome presented by Sun Sports makes its return to Tropicana Field on Saturday, August 3. The first 10,000 fans will receive a gnome beginning when gates open at 5:10 p.m.

Prior to the Rays-Giants 1:40 p.m. game on Sunday, August 4, Rays players and coaches will participate in photo day at Tropicana Field where fans will have the opportunity to take photographs of the players and coaches from the field. Fans who have purchased a ticket to the game will be allowed to enter the Tropicana Field outfield area when the gates open at 11:20 a.m. The event concludes shortly after noon. Players and coaches will walk the photo lines but will not sign autographs during the event.

When gates open for Sunday's game, kids 14 and under will receive a special Rays Backpack presented by Fresh for Florida Kids while supplies last. 

TAMPA BAY TIMES FAMILY FUN DAY-Every Rays Sunday home game will feature free parking for cars with four or more passengers and a variety of activities for kids on the concourse, all now free courtesy of the Tampa Bay Times. Following the game on Sunday, August 4, don't miss Kids Run the Bases and Wiffle Ball Home Run Derby. There will be no Autograph Sunday on August 4 due to Rays Photo Day.

GATES OPEN-Monday through Thursday 1½ hours prior to game time; Friday through Sunday two hours prior to game time. Gates will open at 11:20 a.m. on Sunday, August 4 for those wishing to participate in Rays Photo Day.
