The Tampa Bay Rays will conclude their 2016 home schedule with a six-game homestand against American League East rivals, the New York Yankees (September 20-22) and Boston Red Sox (September 23-25).
During the homestand, the Rays Baseball Foundation will be hosting the annual "Shirts Off Our Backs" fundraiser. Fans can donate to the Rays Baseball Foundation in exchange for scratch-off cards with the chance to win a Rays game-worn jersey or other prizes.
The homestand begins with the Rays hosting the Yankees for a three-game series starting on Tuesday, September 20 with the first of three consecutive 7:10 p.m. starts.
The weekend series with the Red Sox begins Friday, September 23 at 7:10 p.m., when the Rays hold their Roberto Clemente Day celebration to honor the life and career of the Hall of Famer as part of Hispanic Heritage Night. Rays players will wear "Ponle Acento" T-shirts during batting practice as part of a Major League Baseball initiative, and Chris Archer will be honored in a pregame ceremony as the club's Roberto Clemente Award nominee. As a special offer for this game, fans can purchase two upper level tickets for $21 online at raysbaseball.com/Clemente or at the Tropicana Field Box Office.
 
To continue Clemente's legacy of care and compassion, the Rays, in partnership with Feeding Tampa Bay, will also hold a canned food drive on Friday. All fans who donate unopened cans and non-perishable food items will receive a voucher for two complimentary tickets to a 2017 Rays home game. One ticket voucher per household will be issued. Fans can drop off their canned items at Gates 1 and 4 before entering Tropicana Field. Vouchers can be redeemed online starting in March 2017. Tickets will be located in the Lower Corners. Restrictions and blackout dates apply.
On Friday, fans 21 years and older can purchase 20-oz. Budweiser and Bud Light drafts for $5 at participating concession stands, or $4 in the Republic Bank Draft Room.
The Rays-Red Sox series continues on Saturday, September 24 at 6:10 p.m. Upon entry to that game, all fans will receive a Tote Bag courtesy of MLB Network. The home schedule concludes on Sunday, September 25 at 1:10 p.m. All kids 14 and under will receive a DJ Kitty Toothbrush Holder courtesy of United Concordia Dental. All promotional items are available while supplies last.
Rays Family Fun Days, presented by Tampa General Hospital, continue on Sunday, September 25. Every Sunday home game features free parking for cars with four or more passengers and a variety of postgame activities for kids, including Kids Run the Bases and a DJ Kitty Dance Party featuring mascots and entertainers. For the third consecutive season, concourse activities will be complimentary for kids 14 and under. Activities include the Grand Slam Alley, Power Alley Batting Cage, Speed Pitch, Raymond's Art Studio and Topps Make Your Own Baseball Card. Extra entertainers will also perform on Sundays, including face painters, airbrush tattoo artists, magicians, caricaturists, stilt walkers, jugglers and balloon artists.

OLYMPIAN TIANNA BARTOLETTA TO THROW FIRST PITCH-Olympian track and field athlete Tianna Bartoletta will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game on Thursday, September 22 at 7:10 p.m. She won gold medals in long jump and 4x100 meter relay during the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio.
MINOR LEAGUE AWARD WINNERS-Prior to the game on Friday, September 23, the Rays will hold a ceremony to recognize the 2016 Rays minor league award winners. The winners will be made up of the Rays Minor League Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, Baserunner of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and Reliever of the Year in addition to the Most Valuable Player for each of the Rays nine organizational affiliates. The Rays will also recognize the recipient of the Erik Walker Community Champion Award. Named after former Rays minor league pitcher Erik Walker who died tragically in 2006 following his first season in professional baseball, the award annually recognizes a Rays minor leaguer who exemplifies teamwork, sportsmanship and community involvement. Before the ceremony, the award winners are scheduled to sign autographs at Tropicana Field beginning at approximately 5:45 p.m. along the first base line.
COMING UP AT THE REPUBLIC BANK DRAFT ROOM-On Friday, September 23, from 6:30-7:00 p.m., former Rays reliever Grant Balfour will participate in a meet-and-greet in the Republic Bank Draft Room, the new, exclusive area for season ticket holders which blends hospitality and comfort with behind-the-scenes access to Rays staff, players and coaches. On Sunday, September 25, from 12:15-12:40 p.m., Olympic track and field athlete and St. Petersburg native Trayvon Bromell will visit the club to meet with fans.
