ST. PETERSBURG -- Matt Andriese remembers his mother, Lynne, going to every one of his games when he was growing up.
"She and my dad would always take us wherever we needed to go," Andriese said. "She'd go to every game. Stay up late. Wake up early. She was very supportive."
Andriese, who will start for the Rays on Mother's Day, thought of how significant his mother's presence has been in his life.

"Since I'm actually scheduled to pitch on Mother's Day, I just like going out there and thinking about all the moms and all the hard work they put in while we were growing up," Andriese said. "It's a good day to pay tribute to all mothers."
