Charlotte pitcher Carroll suspended 50 games

ST. PETERSBURG -- The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced on Monday that Rays Minor League pitcher Damion Carroll has been suspended following his violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Carroll has received a 50-game suspension without pay following a second positive test.
The suspension of Carroll, who is currently on the roster of the Class A Advanced Charlotte Stone Crabs of the Florida State League, is effective immediately.
Carroll, who has been in the organization since 2012, is 7-3 with a 2.96 ERA in 62 career appearances.
