Rays Minor Leaguer suspended for amphetamine
ANAHEIM -- The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced Tuesday that Tampa Bay Rays Minor League infielder/outfielder Coty Blanchard has received a 50-game suspension without pay after testing positive for an amphetamine, a stimulant in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
The suspension of Blanchard, who is currently on the roster of the Class A Bowling Green Hot Rods of the Midwest League, is effective immediately.
