Rays option left-hander Romero to Triple-A

ST. PETERSBURG -- After allowing three runs in 2 1/3 innings in the Rays' 8-2 loss to the Angels on Tuesday, left-handed pitcher Enny Romero was optioned to Triple-A Durham.

The Rays said that a corresponding move will be made later.

In two relief appearances for the Rays this season, Romero has tossed 5 1/3 innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and five walks while striking out five.
