Rays recall Yates, option Romero to Durham

ST. PETERSBURG -- The Rays recalled right-hander Kirby Yates from Triple-A Durham prior to Tuesday night's game against the Blue Jays.

Yates has a 4.15 ERA in four appearances for the Rays this season.

In a corresponding move, lefty Enny Romero was optioned to Durham following Monday night's 8-5 loss to the Blue Jays.

Yates is 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA in eight appearances for the Bulls this season. Earlier this season, he spent time on the disabled list with a strained right pectoral.
