Rays send righty Andriese to Triple-A Durham
NEW YORK -- The Rays optioned right-hander Matt Andriese to Triple-A Durham on Wednesday. The team will make a corresponding move on Thursday.
Andriese, 25, made the team out of Spring Training. He appeared in five games, of which two were starts, and went 0-1 wiht a 5.54 ERA in 13 innings pitched.
Alex Colome is scheduled to start for the Rays on Friday night against the Orioles and needs to be activated prior to his start, so he is the likely player who will be announced as the corresponding move.
