Upon his return, Beckham will play a lot of second base, as will Brad Miller.

Wilson Ramos wasn't in the lineup and did not play Saturday night. The Rays catcher tweaked his left hamstring while scoring the winning run in the 10th inning of Friday night's 2-1 win over the Angels.

"He ended up scoring, then went out and played another inning, so that's good," Rays manager Kevin Cash said. "We'll give him a day or two and see how he comes in tomorrow."

Matt Andriese (right hip stress reaction) is with the team in Anaheim after spending the All-Star break near Anaheim. However, rather than accompany the team to the next stop in Oakland, he'll head back to St. Petersburg.

The right-hander is throwing off flat ground already. He won't be able to begin throwing off a mound until the six-week mark from his injury, and that falls around the time the Rays return home Friday to begin their next homestand with a three-game set against the Rangers.

Andriese, who has only started for the Rays this season, will be stretched out as a starter once he begins his rehab. Estimates for when he might be back range from mid- to late August.

Rickie Weeks Jr. (right shoulder impingement) is expected to begin a rehab assignment next week with one of the Rays' affiliates.

Bill Chastain has covered the Rays for MLB.com since 2005.
