ANAHEIM -- Following Saturday night's 6-3 Rays win over the Angels, the Rays announced that infielder will be activated and that infielder will be optioned to Triple-A Durham.
Beckham has been on the 10-day disabled list with a left ankle sprain and Sunday is the first day he's eligible to return.
Upon his return, Beckham will play a lot of second base, as will Brad Miller.
wasn't in the lineup and did not play Saturday night. The Rays catcher tweaked his left hamstring while scoring the winning run in the 10th inning of Friday night's 2-1 win over the Angels.
"He ended up scoring, then went out and played another inning, so that's good," Rays manager Kevin Cash said. "We'll give him a day or two and see how he comes in tomorrow."
(right hip stress reaction) is with the team in Anaheim after spending the All-Star break near Anaheim. However, rather than accompany the team to the next stop in Oakland, he'll head back to St. Petersburg.
The right-hander is throwing off flat ground already. He won't be able to begin throwing off a mound until the six-week mark from his injury, and that falls around the time the Rays return home Friday to begin their next homestand with a three-game set against the Rangers.
Andriese, who has only started for the Rays this season, will be stretched out as a starter once he begins his rehab. Estimates for when he might be back range from mid- to late August.
Rickie Weeks Jr. (right shoulder impingement) is expected to begin a rehab assignment next week with one of the Rays' affiliates.
