Rays deal Yates among handful of moves
ST. PETERSBURG -- The Rays have traded right-hander Kirby Yates to Cleveland for cash considerations.
In addition to the trade, the Rays outrighted right-hander Brandon Gomes and outfielder Daniel Nava. Nava and Gomes have refused and elected to become free agents.
The Rays also released catcher J.P. Arencibia.
