Record-Setting Astros Return Home for Nine-Game Homestand as Top Team in MLB

The Houston Astros are off to the most blistering start in franchise history and return home with MLB's best record (42-18) and winning percentage (.700). The Astros will host the LA Angels of Anaheim (June 9-11), Texas Rangers (June 12-14) and Boston Red Sox (June 16-18) for a nine-game homestand beginning tomorrow.

The Houston Astros are off to the most blistering start in franchise history and return home with MLB's best record (42-18) and winning percentage (.700). The Astros will host the LA Angels of Anaheim (June 9-11), Texas Rangers (June 12-14) and Boston Red Sox (June 16-18) for a nine-game homestand beginning tomorrow.
The Astros are off to a historic start this season, winning 13 of their last 16 games and going 7-2 thus far on the most recent 10-game road trip. They currently lead the AL West Division by 12.0 games, the largest margin in MLB. The Astros have excelled in many facets of the game in 2017, currently leading the American League in runs scored, batting average, home runs, hits, doubles, slugging percentage, on-base percentage and OPS, with the Astros pitching staff leading the league in ERA and strikeouts. Houston looks to continue its current pace against divisional opponents, currently sitting at 20-6 in games vs. the AL West.

Gates will open two hours prior to game time on Friday and Saturday, and at the special time of 11:00 a.m. on Sunday for the Future Astros parade on the field.
Saturday, June 10 vs. LA Angels of Anaheim - 3:10 p.m.
Faith and Family Night, presented by Chick-fil-A Houston, returns to Minute Maid Park this Saturday! Fans will be treated to an inspiring postgame concert featuring MercyMe following the afternoon matchup versus the LA Angels of Anaheim. Faith and Family Night also includes live testimonials from pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. and wife Kara McCullers prior to the concert, emceed by Astros TV broadcaster Geoff Blum. The Texas Lone Star Chapter of the Korean War Veterans Association will present two Purple Heart veterans, Staff Sergeant Manny Carnero, USMC and Specialist Greg Jackson, US Army with a special proclamation from the city, declaring June 10 as "All Veterans Day" in Houston. The Korean War Veterans Association will also present the colors for Saturday's game.
Sunday, June 11 vs. LA Angels of Anaheim - 1:10 p.m.
The Astros Foundation's fifth annual Picnic In The Park fundraising event, presented by Pluckers, takes place on Sunday, June 11 following the Astros vs. LA Angels afternoon matchup. This popular fundraiser, which gives fans the rare opportunity to spend an afternoon on the outfield grass at Minute Maid Park, will feature 2017 Astros players, alumni and members of the Astros front office. All proceeds from the charitable event will benefit the Astros Foundation and its cornerstone youth baseball programs. Fans will be treated to a 45-minute autograph session with Astros players, a picnic buffet, activities for families and children of all ages and a complimentary picnic mat and commemorative T-shirt. The Houston Astros are hosting families from the Sunshine Kids for their first meet and greet of the season with Astros players and coaches. The meet and greet will be held in the press conference room following Astros batting practice.

Sunday, June 18 vs. Boston Red Sox - 7:05 p.m.
Sunday's matchup between the Astros and Red Sox on Father's Day, June 18, will broadcast exclusively on ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball beginning at 7:05 p.m. CT. Gates at Minute Maid Park will open at the special time of 5:00 p.m. Sunday evening in light of the new game time.
Fans are invited to the Astros Pregame Party prior to Sunday's matchup from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. at the Budweiser Brew House, which will replace Sunday's previously-scheduled After Party.
