Red Sox announce roster moves

FORT MYERS, FL - Prior to today's game against the Baltimore Orioles, the Boston Red Sox optioned left-handed pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez and catcher Blake Swihart to Triple-A Pawtucket.

Executive Vice President/General Manager Ben Cherington made the announcement.

With these moves, the Red Sox now have 49 players in big league camp, including 36 players from the 40-man roster, and 13 non-roster invitees.
