FORT MYERS, Fla. -- Hanley Ramirez went 2-for-2 and stole a base to help lead the Red Sox to an 8-7 victory over the Orioles on Sunday at JetBlue Park.
While Ramirez's switch to first base has been a big storyline this spring, he is also trying to recover from a tough 2015 season offensively.
In his first three Grapefruit League games, Ramirez is 4-for-8.

"We're just trying to find our timing and be nice and easy, try to be short to the ball and let the ball travel a little," said Ramirez. "Just one swing and one click, and then you're right there. That's what I need. Today I was feeling good. But it's early. We've got to continue to work."
The Orioles are winless (0-6-1) in Spring Training while the Red Sox improved to 3-2.
Christian Walker belted a two-run double for the Orioles.
Travis Shaw replaced David Ortiz at DH midway through the game and went 3-for-3. David Murphy made his debut after signing with Boston as a non-roster invitee last week and went 1-for-3.
Red Sox righty Clay Buchholz pitched in a game for the first time since injuring his right elbow last July 10 and labored, giving up three hits and four runs (one earned) over 1 1/3 innings.
O's reliever Dylan Bundy was impressive in his scoreless inning, striking out two.
Baltimore had a collision in the bottom of the sixth, when second baseman Garabez Rosa and shortstop Ozzie Martinez both tried to field a grounder up the middle. Martinez got the worst of it, and he had to leave the game and take concussion tests. Orioles manager Buck Showalter thinks Martinez will be OK.
Orioles righty Mike Wright, who will likely start the season at Triple-A, gave up four hits and two runs over two innings.
"Usually when you lower fly ball rates, you pitch lower in the zone," said Wright. "Today I was pitching low in the zone, and I felt pretty solid about it. You want ground balls, especially with our defense that we had behind us."
Up next for the Orioles:Ubaldo Jimenez will take the mound on Monday afternoon at Ed Smith Stadium against the Minnesota Twins. Phil Hughes will take the mound for Minnesota in the 1:05 p.m. ET contest. 
Up next for the Red Sox: Lefty Henry Owens, hoping to win a spot in the rotation, makes his second start in Monday's 1:05 p.m. ET home game against the Rays. Southpaw relievers Tommy Layne and Robbie Ross Jr. will see action. Leadoff man Mookie Betts should be back in the lineup after getting Sunday off.
