NESN to broadcast special Red Sox Foundation Game Night, Friday, March 13

Red Sox-Yankees Spring Training Game Telecast to tell Stories of the Foundation's Impact on Families Throughout New England

BOSTON, MA - New England Sports Network (NESN) will broadcast a special Red Sox Foundation Game Night on Friday, March 13, that will tell stories of the foundation's impact on families throughout New England during the Red Sox-Yankees telecast from JetBlue Park. NESN and the Red Sox inaugurated this special telecast last year on March 20.

Coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. with a 30-minute pre-game show. The telecast will include limited commercial interruptions and conclude with a special Foundation-focused post-game show.

Red Sox Foundation Honorary Chairman Tim Wakefield will be part of the NESN broadcast along with representatives from the foundation's cornerstone programs, including the Jimmy Fund, the Red Sox Foundation and Massachusetts General Hospital Home Base Program, the Red Sox Scholars Program, Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI), and The Dimock Center.

The broadcast will also serve as a pledge drive to help raise funds for the thousands of charities and programs the foundation supports across New England and in Lee County, Florida. Those who make a pledge of $150 or more will receive a commemorative Tim Wakefield bobblehead, a special Wally's Team luggage tag, and two tickets to a Red Sox game.

Contributions can also be made in advance of the March 13 broadcast at redsox.com/gamenight.
