Red Sox recall outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr.

The Boston Red Sox today recalled outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. from Triple-A Pawtucket. He will be active for this afternoon's game at Yankee stadium at 1:05 p.m. wearing No. 25.

Executive Vice President/General Manager Ben Cherington made the announcement.

For Bradley, 23, this marks his fourth stint with Boston this season. Last night he went 1-for-5 with an RBI to help Pawtucket take a two games to one lead over Rochester in the International League Semifinals at McCoy Stadium. Through his first three games of the postseason, Bradley has hit .385 (5-for-13) with an RBI, two runs scored and a walk. In 80 regular season games for Pawtucket in 2013, he batted .275 (88-for-320) with 26 doubles, three triples, 10 home runs, 35 RBI, and scored 57 runs.

Bradley made the Red Sox Opening Day roster out of spring training and made his major league debut in Yankee Stadium on April 1. In his 23 games for Boston, he has hit .155 (9-for-58) with three doubles, two home runs, seven RBI, and 11 runs scored. Defensively, he has appeared in 22 games (16 starts), with 10 starts in left field and six in center field.

With today's transaction, Boston's active major league roster is now at 31 players.
